Raybal Constructions were first contacted by Ian Hardy after being referred by a mutual associate for who we had completed past projects. Ian is a licenced builder but due to his senior designer and project management role with Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club, an independent tender process for the clubs $10.3mil new Centre of Excellence facility project was required. We received preliminary designs and sketches in March of 2023, and commenced discussions with Ian, initially we met with Ian at our Central Coast office to break the project down for pricing, his knowledge of all components was extensive. Ian has guided his consultancy team and to our understanding been successful in achieving all the reports and requirements necessary for the application approval. His ability to read and interpret plans makes him easy to work with and we are confident that his skills and experience would carry him well in a building inspector or certifier role, and we are comfortable working forward with him as project manager for the new facility. We look forward to the project's approval and working with Ian.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ian for the last year on a $10.3mil Sports Centre of Excellence Project for the Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club (MWGC) at Nolan Reserve North Manly. Ian's current role with MWGC is Senior Designer and Project Manager for the development of what will be one of Australia's premier purposes built sports venues. Since the projects inception Ian has been the driver of the design, building development and has been instrumental in gathering all the requirements, associated reporting, and approvals for the Development Application now before Northern Beaches Council and the State Regional Planning Panel. His knowledge and understanding of all facets of design and construction is vast. His understanding of Council compliance, building design, Australian standards, building codes and technical detail has allowed the project flow smoothly and without issues. In my opinion Ian is highly skilled and proficient in all aspect of building.

In 2003 the Company that I worked for purchased a 4,000 sq.m commercial property in South Granville which required substantial renovation to accommodate the manufacturing facilities and offices required for its business operations. I engaged Ian to project manage the building works which was budgeted at approximately $2.3 million. This project required a substantial amount of project management, liaison with the various departments to be located in the building to ensure their requirements were met, dealing with the Company's accounts department in relation to payment to third parties, ensuring that the building works were undertaken in such a manner as to allow for flexibility in use. Ian has a strong customer service commitment, is a good communicator, has the ability to engage himself at all levels of a project and has a "can do" attitude to undertaking a building project. The quality of those that he engages is also testament to his standing in the building area in which he operates. I have no hesitation in recommending Ian in relation to any building or project management works.

Having worked on a number of large scale residential and commercial projects with Ian Hardy over the years and being aware of his competence, professionalism and willingness to co-operate with clients and consultants, we can thoroughly recommend Ian Hardy as a builder or project manager to any prospective client. His diligence with all mandatory inspection and certification requirements is first class. On a personal level, Ian is always affable during our design and site meetings, which is not always the case on construction sites.
